I’ve been a resident of Pierce County, Washington for the past 16 years. I grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland just outside of Washington, DC, in an area that faced many of the same challenges that we face here in Tacoma. My experiences have led me to have a personal and unique perspective on the issues we face in our communities, including the rising cost of living and taxes, socio-economic disadvantages, poverty, homelessness, and crime. I believe we all need to work together to build our communities and protect the American dreams of homeownership, economic prosperity and owning our own businesses, and providing a safe and healthy environment to raise our children.

I’m an Army Ranger veteran, with two tours in Afghanistan, and was stationed at JBLM / Fort Lewis for four years. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, a Master of Science in Information Technology, and a professional certification in Project Management. I have over twenty years of experience working in diverse environments with unique challenges, including non-profits, state and federal government, large Fortune 500 companies, and small businesses. I’m currently the Executive Director of Family Court Reform USA, Chairman of Parentalink, Operations Manager for East West Security & Consulting, and am working to help reopen the Tacoma Chapter of StandUp for Kids as well as working will numerous other community and veteran organizations to help improve our neighborhoods.

I have a long history of community involvement, leadership, advocacy, and standing up for what’s right, even if it means being the first to speak out about difficult topics. I believe what we need in Olympia is less politics and more open, honest and transparent discussion about the issues that We The People care most about. I believe it is an honor and duty to serve the people of my district and the people of Washington and to uphold and defend the United States and Washington State Constitutions. I look forward to continuing to serve our community when elected as State Representative for District 27, Position 1.
